The First Right Road

As you step into the forest on your right, a slight feeling of joy washes over you. The area around you is lighter, more vibrant than where you were before. The road is no longer gravel, it has changed into a soft sand road. The trees are full of green leaves and fruits, the bushes full of flowers. You see squirrels happily running around in the trees, and you hear birds chirping joyful songs. While enjoying your walk through this beautiful forest, you come to another split in the road. As you ponder on what path to take, you hear a familiar voice behind you saying “before making this decision, come sit down and have some rose tea with me.” Turning around to sit down with the man, you notice he looks exactly the same as the man you met on the gravel road, albeit looking slightly healthier and happier. However, when you ask the man whether he is the same man, he denies it being so, claiming you have met one of his brothers. Not wanting to ask any more about it, you simply ask the man for advice on the choice ahead, upon which he promptly answers: “Life is like a diamond. Beautiful to look at, but painful when you step on it.” In a blink of the eye, the man disappeared. Not knowing what he meant with the advice, you simply choose the first path that comes to mind. You decide to follow:
