The First Left Road

Stepping into the forest on your left, you feel the mood change instantly. The trees are darker, almost brown and leaves have started falling off. The bushes have no flowers in them. The road is no longer gravel, but dirt and puddles of mud, making walking a bit more difficult. Owls can be heard, accompanied by the howling of a few wolves. As the road gets darker with every step you take, you run into another fork in the road. As you ponder on what road to take, you hear a voice behind you saying “before making this decision, come sit down and have some nettle tea with me.” Turning around to sit down with the man, you notice he looks exactly the same as the man you met on the gravel road, albeit slightly more ragged looking. However, when you ask the man whether he is the same man, he denies it being so, claiming you have met one of his brothers. Not wanting to ask any more about it, you simply ask the man for advice on the choice ahead, upon which he promptly answers: “Life is like the wind, terribly destructive but an amazing musician.” Confused, you look away for a moment. When you return your gaze to the man, he has vanished into thin air. Not sure what to do with that advice, you decide to simply pick a path. You choose to follow:
